Avoiding Health Issues While Traveling
How do you stay fresh while traveling?
We all want to ski the Alps, surf the biggest waves in Hawaii, and go see the Bermuda triangle.
But sometimes the end of a long plane ride can see us too tired to leave the hotel!
Here are some top tips from Dr. John Torres on making the most of your trip and avoiding health issues while traveling.
Check up With Your Doctor!
If there’s anything that can ruin a vacation, it’s contracting a disease that’s been eliminated from the First World for decades.
Go see your dentist too. A toothache is no joke, especially when you’re thousands of miles away from your dentist.
Contact Capital Medical Associates and tell us where you’re traveling, so we can provide you with basic travel medicine, tips and information.

But what about things to do when you’re actually traveling?
Besides precautionary measures, here are some things you can do to stay healthy when you’ve already reached your destination.
Watch what you eat. And watch what your kids eat! No one wants a stomach ache before the seven mile hike.
Use sunscreen! On vacation, you’ll probably be out in the some more than you ever are at home. And there’s no better way to take care of your skin than using sun screen.
Make sure you follow all these rules to stay healthy, so that way you can have fun.
