Mary Beth Alder is a Board Certified Adult Nurse Practitioner and passionate about caring for her patients. Nurse Practitioners are nurses with a graduate degree in advanced practice nursing licensed to diagnose, treat and manage actual and chronic diseases. Mary Beth is licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner by the Department of Health Board of Nursing and Department of Health Regulatory and Licensing Administration of Washington, DC. She is also Board Certified by the American Nurses Association as an Adult Nurse Practitioner and certified as an AIDS Certified Registered Nurse (ACRN) by the HIV/AIDS Nursing certification Board.
Mary Beth is the recipient of the Founder’s Day Research Award presented by the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Heart Associations Special Recognition Award. She is published in the Medical Clinics of North America. Recent Advances in Chemotherapy, Journal of Infectious Diseases, the American Journal of Primary Healthcare and Genitourinary Medicine. Her academic experience includes Assistant Clinical Professor of Health Care Sciences, George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Clinical Instructor at the Catholic University of America and Guest Lecturer at the George Mason University.
