Your prescription refill requests are often able to be completed faster when you contact your pharmacy directly. It is also best to contact your pharmacy when checking the status of a prescription request.
If you need our office to assist with a prescription request, please contact our office during regular office hours.* Your request will be reviewed by your treating physician and it maybe require that you schedule an appointment.
When calling your pharmacy or our office for a prescription request, you should have the following information:
- complete name of the medication (if it is a refill, include the medication number that is listed on the label)
- your date of birth
- phone number of the pharmacy filling the prescription
- fax number of the pharmacy filling the prescription
- your phone number
*If you have an emergency prescription request, please call our office at 202-822-6311 and follow the directions to reach the physician on-call.
