The first step to qualify for a medical marijuana card is to speak with a healthcare professional who has been verified by the Department of Health.
Your doctor should then give you a recommendation number which you will need to use to submit an application for your card.
Submit an Application
Once you have a recommendation number you will need to submit an application to The Department of Health.
You will need to provide a photo headshot, a copy of your ID and two documents proving your Washington D.C. residence.
Lastly, there is a $100 application fee for most applicants.
Receive and Purchase
Once you have received your medical marijuana card you are able to legally purchase marijuana from any dispensary within Washington D.C.
